Immediately hiring a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver and Transfer Driver at Ryder in Cheektowaga, NY.
Compensation & Schedule
Driver positions paid weekly.
Hourly pay: $21 per hour.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No weekends.
Local and regional assignments, about an hour away.
Home daily.
Paid training.
Route & Responsibilities
Shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities.
No‑touch empty trailers for equipment shuttle transfer movement.
Transferring rental equipment, delivering trucks to customers, parts (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabover, etc.) based on transfer needs.
Parts pick‑up.
Responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and complying with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service.
Ensuring compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
Maintaining accurate records and logs; other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide a Class A CDL and endorsements.
At least one of the following: 9 months of experience within the past three years, 2 years of experience within the last five years, or 5 years of experience within the last ten years.
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Important Note Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
