Environmental Services Associate: 20 weekly hours, Evening, Grant
Environmental Service Associates are dedicated to cleaning and maintaining defined areas of the organization. They provide customer service to all customers by cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, public areas, and service areas, completing tasks that support departmental and organizational processes. This cleaning and maintaining is defined by specific job/task assignments.
Job Description Summary Environmental Service Associates are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across patient rooms, public and service areas. They coordinate cleaning schedules, operate cleaning equipment safely, and provide high levels of customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities and Duties
40% – Obtain assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction, complete other functions as required, including moving beds or furniture, and adhere to departmental processes.
20% – Follow direction and proper usage of all equipment used in the job, notifying appropriate area through work order process; maintain cleanliness of equipment and misc. items throughout the hospital.
10% – Keep all assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels; linen distribution included in stocking.
10% – Complete other duties as assigned, including storeroom maintenance to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards.
20% – Use high level of customer service throughout OhioHealth, engaging patients and all other customers.
Minimum Qualifications
No degree or diploma (required)

Must demonstrate customer service skills.
