Job Highlights
Monday through Friday shifts
Early start time – 5:00 am
Year‑round steady work

1 year verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 7 years required
Essential Job Functions Drivers safely operate front, side, or rear‑loading trucks for the pick‑up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
Safely operate garbage truck, ensuring compliance with IWS safety standards, OSHA, DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
Perform pre‑ and post‑inspection of the truck.
Navigate congested communities and tight urban areas.
Handle repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 100 pounds.
Mount and dismount the truck multiple times per route.
Maintain accurate documentation of trips and incidents.
Requirements and Qualifications
21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
Valid Class A or B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement.
1‑year commercial driving experience within the last 7 years.
Great safety record and clean MVR.
Experience as a driver or helper for a “refuge” company is highly preferred.
Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
Proficient in reading English and spoken English for communication.
Ability to read and understand a map.
Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
Willingness to work required hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as permitted by DOT regulations.
Additional Job Requirements
Drivers may need to navigate congested communities and tight city areas.
Backing maneuvers and climbing in and out of the cab are essential.
Drivers are responsible for ensuring truck compliance with safety standards.
