Boiler Service Technician Level 4 – Senior‑level role responsible for expert service, maintenance, and upgrades of hot water and steam boiler systems in commercial and industrial settings. Requires advanced troubleshooting, dual‑fuel burner setups, combustion tuning, control and motor wiring, 3‑element feedwater systems, parallel positioning controls, analog circuit/transmitter diagnostics, 3‑parameter trim systems, O2 trim installation, and advanced control system upgrades.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead expert‑level service, maintenance, and upgrades of boiler systems in complex environments.

Demonstrate knowledge of burner setup and combustion management on dual‑fuel systems.

Work on 3‑element feedwater systems and parallel positioning controls.

Diagnose and resolve issues with analog circuits and transmitters.

Maintain knowledge of 3‑parameter trim systems and O2 trim controls.

Execute advanced control system upgrades and retrofits.

Provide coaching and guidance to other technicians on boiler repairs.

Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed.

Prepare for on‑site installation and repairs: examine building layout, anticipate difficulties, gather materials, and coordinate work.

Inspect vehicle condition and maintain records of service manuals, scheduling, and repairs.

Maintain tools and equipment by inspecting for wear.

Document work by completing paperwork and maintaining files.

Represent the company as a direct customer contact.

Determine parts to order for repairs and assess timeliness.

Stay current with all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.

Provide technical support to customers.

Be knowledgeable about Brady products and services and become effective in their sales.

Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as required.

Promote teamwork: demonstrate cooperation, seek process improvements, and continually improve personal performance.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Provide responsive, professional, and diplomatic service.

Answer customer calls and correspondence promptly and pleasantly.

Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional, and patient manner.

Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships.

Immediately address any customer concern and involve other personnel as needed.

SAFETY

Follow all company safety programs and report non‑compliance to the Team Leader.

Notify the Team Leader or Safety Manager of unsafe conditions.

Use appropriate PPE whenever required.

Report accidents and injuries to the Team Leader and HR immediately.

Complete all monthly safety training topics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning or equivalent, 8–10 years related experience.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license, Universal EPA certification.

Language Skills: Read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, present information in one‑on‑one or small group settings.

Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret technical instructions.

Physical Demands: Occasional sitting; frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; constant standing, walking, reaching, gripping; lift up to 115 lbs. occasionally; light repetitive tasks; bright, dim, or changing lighting; exposure to vibration, noise, fumes, and extreme temperatures.

Work Environment: Outdoor and mechanical rooms; extreme weather; high voltage, moving mechanical parts, vibration; exposure to wet, humid, chemicals, or toxic substances; loud noise.
