Food Service Cook

Food Service Cooks are first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. They will cook deli products to United Family’s specifications and standards. All duties must be performed in a safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests when they enter my area or department.
Follow designated food production list.
Perform food production in a timely manner.
Prevent cross‑contamination.
Perform cooking functions safely.
Perform closing duties including working walk‑in coolers, sweeping, spraying, squeegee floors, and leaving workspace organized; pay special attention to proper product storage order.
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are performed.
Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
Key Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, efficient, and controlled manner.
Physical ability: standing, bending, lifting, squatting, climbing, walking.
Lift items up to 60 lbs. to a height of 4 feet.
Read, write, and complete company forms for sales reporting.
Work for periods up to 8–10 hours in a cool environment.
Work within a freezer for up to 15 minutes.
Safely operate equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, food processors, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
Accept supervisory coaching on performance, work habits, and attitude.
Maintain current Food Safety certification.
Function as a team member and get along with others.
