General Purpose:
Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guestconsumptionand enjoyment.
Essential Duties:
Preparessufficient quantities offoodproductin accordancetoproduction plan or forecast needs.
Utilizes whole foodproductseliminatingany waste.
Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties asrequired.
Pay: $19 - $23/hour based on experience
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells.
Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
Occasionallysits,climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
Regularlylifts upto 50 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Regularly worksin extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
Occasionallyworks in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals,and inoutdoor weather.
Noiselevel is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to read and speak English may berequiredin order toperform the duties of the job (e.g.the associates maybe requiredto communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
