Description
Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation
Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring freshness of product daily
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
Preparesappropriate equipmentfor cooking
Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing,assemblingand kneading of food products
Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing,rotatingand checking temperature of products
Receives and inventories food and beverage product and supplies
Cleans and sanitizesworkstationwork stationand equipment
Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by Department Manager
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands: Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularlylifts upto 50 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 100 pounds.
Regularly worksin extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals,and inoutdoor weather.Noiselevel is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses: Food Safety and Sanitation Training
