Job Overview: Serve guests with food and beverages in a positive, friendly manner. Present ordered choices promptly and maintain a lively dining ambiance. Keep restaurant premises clean and orderly to provide a pleasant guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Possess full knowledge of food and beverage products served and use suggestive selling techniques.

Takes orders and delivers food and beverages on time.

Ensures guests receive immediate, friendly, personalized service to build repeat patronage.

Guides guests through menus, answers questions thoroughly, and provides specific item suggestions.

Maintains positive guest satisfaction by exceeding service expectations.

Handles guest complaints or directs them to a manager.

Operates point-of-sale system efficiently and handles large amounts of currency.

Practices proper cash handling procedures, organizes money, counts change, and follows checkout procedures.

Sets up and breaks down equipment and supplies.

Maintains floors free of debris.

Keeps work areas clean, organizes service stations, and pre‑busses tables as needed.

Scrapes, racks, and stacks glassware/plateware/silverware properly in the dishwashing area.

Acts as a final check on the quality of food and beverage items before serving.

Assists management in training new staff.

Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.

Delivers and carries food and beverage items with a sense of urgency and knows table numbers.

Assists the host with greeting and seating guests when necessary.

Maintains high-level knowledge of company products, communicates properly to guests, and establishes rapport.

Notifies manager/supervisor of low inventory and recommends new inventory.

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management with urgency.

Adheres to responsible alcohol service established by company policy.

Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices and reports accidents.

Adheres to all company policies and procedures in the Staff Member Handbook.

Experience:

One to two years of experience working as a food and beverage server in a high‑volume restaurant or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication:

Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with others.

Judgment:

Good judgment and decision‑making abilities.

Alcohol Service:

Adherence to company policy for responsible alcohol service, including verifying guests who purchase alcohol are at least 21 years old.

Beverage Preparation:

Knowledge of recipes and procedures for preparing alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages; suggestive selling techniques.

Mathematics:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Job Type: Full‑time and part‑time positions open.

Compensation: Salary: $6.75 per hour, plus tips.
