Overview
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, this role provides skilled, compassionate care to burn patients across the lifespan, from pediatric through geriatric populations. Working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, the position supports high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized clinical environment. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include delivering direct patient care such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), performing assigned clinical procedures, and supporting wound and dressing changes. The role also serves as a critical communication link by observing, identifying, and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to supervising nurses or providers. Documentation
Accurate and timely documentation of care provided is completed in accordance with established guidelines. Through attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to patient safety and dignity, this position plays an essential role in supporting recovery and positive outcomes for burn patients. Hourly Pay Range: $16.87 - $24.88 Qualifications
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or GED and certification from an accredited nursing assistant/health aide program. Experience:
Prefer at least one (1) year of hospital experience as a CNA, PCT, or EMT, preferably in a burn/wound care environment. Certification/Licensure:
Requires certification by the Arizona State Board of Nursing as a CNA or certification as an EMT by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, Trauma System for EMTs, or a nationally recognized equivalent certificate. Requires a BLS issued by the American Heart Association. PALS, ACLS, and ABLS certification is preferred within one year of employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bilingual is preferred. Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people. Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
