Job Summary The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing a variety of assembly and production‑related tasks under the direction of a supervisor or designated lead. This role supports daily manufacturing operations, ensures product quality, and assists with maintaining workflow efficiency across the production floor.

Essential Functions

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

Assemble components using hand and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pneumatic tools.

Fit, fasten, and secure parts to finished products.

Install components such as casters, plates, brackets, or hardware into designated locations.

Bend, align, and secure interlocking parts using hand tools or mallets.

Perform basic touch‑up work, including paint or finish application as needed.

Inspect parts and finished products for defects such as scratches, dents, or other imperfections.

Prepare and package completed products for shipment.

Load and unload production lines as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Assist in other departments or areas of the facility as needed to support production flow.

Marginal / Additional Responsibilities

Operate material‑handling equipment such as hand trucks or forklifts (if certified).

Complete basic production paperwork including time tracking, job tickets, and quality documentation.

Perform basic equipment or workstation maintenance.

Assist with general housekeeping and facility upkeep.

Use basic computer systems for data entry or production tracking (training provided if needed) based on business needs.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Physical Demands

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and grasp throughout the shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Must be dependable with consistent attendance, including the ability to work overtime when required.

Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, and other protective gear as required.
