Job Summary Perform assembly tasks to build and finish products according to specifications. Work under general supervision and collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure quality standards are met.
Essential Functions
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions.
Assemble components and fasten parts using hand tools and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, pneumatic screwdrivers).
Insert hardware and accessories into designated slots or holes.
Fit and align parts using appropriate tools such as hammers or mallets.
Apply touch‑up finishes using brushes or spray equipment.
Prepare and pack products for shipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist in other production areas as needed.
Inspect parts for defects such as scratches, dents, or other flaws.
Additional Responsibilities
Move materials using appropriate equipment (e.g., hand truck or forklift).
Complete required documentation (job tickets, quality check sheets, time cards).
Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
Support process improvements and adapt to changes in methods or equipment.
Basic computer skills preferred; training provided if necessary.
Requirements
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and other manual tasks.
Willingness to work overtime and adhere to safety practices, including use of protective gear (e.g., safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes).
Reliable attendance and compliance with workplace rules.
