Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs of plant equipment and machinery* Learn to troubleshoot mechanical issues under the guidance of experienced mechanics* Support safe and efficient plant operations during the 2nd shift* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used* Participate in safety meetings and follow all safety protocols**What Are We Looking For*** Willingness to learn mechanical systems and repair techniques* Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions* Basic understanding of tools and mechanical concepts* Commitment to safety and teamwork* Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.**Physical Demands of the Job*** Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift* Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively* Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards and communicate clearly in a noisy environment* Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed* Endurance to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions**What We Offer*** Starting Pay $21.20 per hour DOE* 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions* Highly competitive benefits programs, including:
