Feed Mill Crew - Cleaner
The Feed Mill Cleaner primary responsibility is to is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment in and around the feed mill facility. This position supports overall operations by ensuring production areas, equipment, and storage spaces are kept clean and free from debris and contamination, in compliance with safety and quality standards.
What You Do
Clean and sanitize mill equipment, floors, walls, and surrounding areas.
Remove dust, feed residues, spills, and debris from production areas.
Operate industrial vacuum systems and other cleaning equipment.
Assist with the proper disposal of waste and by-products.
Perform routine inspections of cleaning needs and report issues to supervisors.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist maintenance or production teams with minor tasks as needed.
Maintain cleaning logs and complete necessary documentation.
Support pest control and sanitation programs
Perform housekeeping requirements associated with designated areas
Maintain housekeeping records/activities
Champion a Safety Culture
Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
At least 18 years of age
Able to work extended hours/weekends as needed
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
Time management and multitasking abilities
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 30 pounds repeatedly
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, climb
Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat and cold)
Able to work in dusty environments
Ability to climb up and down ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at elevated heights
Repetitive use of both hands
Ability to work at heights to measure bins
Ability to work outside, including in inclement weather
Able to stand and walk for the majority of each day
Must be willing to work an alternate shift – 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM
Exposure to grain dust, noise, odors, and varying weather conditions.
