Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sports Administration faculty position beginning in the Fall semester of 2026.
UC Blue Ash College's associate degree program in Pre‑Sport Administration provides students with the first two years of study toward their bachelor's degree in sports administration. Upon completion of the associate degree program, students have the option to seamlessly transfer into a bachelor's degree program at the University of Cincinnati's College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH).
This faculty member may be required to teach in‑person, hybrid, and fully online courses. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, professional development, and service. A demonstration of the potential for effective teaching, professional development, service, and a willingness to participate in required departmental and administrative duties is required for selection for this position.
This is not a remote or virtual role. Candidates must be available for on‑campus meetings and activities. Applicants requiring sponsorship are not currently being considered.
Essential Functions Teaching Responsibilities
Teach twelve credit hours per term in both the fall and spring semesters from the offered sports administration major courses within the Pre‑Sport Administration program. Major courses include Introduction to Sport Administration, Ethical Issues in Sports, Sports Administration Professional Experience, Diversity in Sports Organizations, and Economics of Sports.
Teaching schedule may include day, evening, weekend, asynchronous, on‑campus, online, hyflex, and/or hybrid courses and is subject to change as needed.
In addition to this course load, the selected candidate will be required to offer a minimum of four office hours per week during fall and spring semesters.
Additional Responsibilities
Attend all required department, college, and university faculty meetings.
Participate in the governance and committee work of the department, college, and university; engage in ongoing professional development, which can be discipline‑specific or in the scholarship of teaching and learning; and provide service to the department, college, university, and/or community.
Minimum Requirements Prior to the effective date of the appointment, the chosen candidate must have a Master's Degree in Sports Administration or a related field.
Additional Qualifications Considered
College‑level teaching experience
Experience as a Program Director/Coordinator
Online teaching experience
Work experience in sports administration and/or related fields
Experience using Online Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc.
