Job Description: Drive a tractor trailer on intrastate and interstate local routes to deliver and/or unload food and food‑related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Mentor and train Drivers, Helpers and/or Yard Drivers. Communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Perform a

pre‑trip safety check , load deliveries at the loading dock, execute

post‑trip safety check , and complete all required paperwork.

Perform pre‑trip safety check inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company quality standards.

Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices.

Move tractor to the loading dock, attach preloaded trailer as needed.

Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route and delivery schedule.

Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks.

Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures; collect payment where required.

Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors.

Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork.

Maintain daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state and company requirements.

Keep cab, loading dock area, and trailers clean and clear; complete necessary housekeeping duties.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Information:

First year pay between $75K‑$84K. (Includes base hourly $30/hr + overtime + bonus pay.)

Annual Merit Increases!

Leading a staff of 10‑12 drivers.

Hourly pay. Overtime after 40 hours. Monday‑Friday schedule.

Qualifications: Required Education:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Required Experience:

1 – 2 Years

Commercial Driver's License (CDL); meet the medical requirements of the DOT; commercial driving experience.

Preferred Education:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Preferred Experience:

2 – 4 Years; Commercial Driver's License (CDL); commercial driving experience within foodservice industry; team lead experience.

Preferred Professional Certification(s):

OSHA Forklift operator certificate.
