Job Summary This position cleans and services guest, patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas. The employee maintains a clean and aseptic environment in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Education
Required: None (must be able to read, write, speak, and understand verbal instructions in English).
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Required: Experience in operating environmental services equipment (e.g., dust mop, wet mop, bucket, spray bottles, dustpan).
Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand verbal communication in English.
Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning, and cleaning equipment/supplies.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
Ability to listen, take direction, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Job Duties
Maintain assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
Maintain environmental closet and equipment orderly and aseptic.
Assist with restock of café and bar (where necessary).
Assist with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
Follow current Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and cleaning requirements.
Other related duties as required.
Physical and Environmental Demands Work may involve lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 to 75 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly. Physical demands exceed sedentary work. Use mechanical lifting devices or team lifts when possible. Employees may be exposed to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, hazardous medications, or hazardous waste.
