We are seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team at The Market in the Square.

Responsibilities
Provides exceptional customer service at our Meat counter
Cuts, trims, and prepares meat according to company standards and customer requests
Safely operates meat-cutting equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the department
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience cutting meat is preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to safely operate equipment, including, but not limited to, knives, meat saws, vacuum sausage makers, scales, wrappers, grinders and slicers
Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and labeling regulations, USDA regulations, and OSHA standards
Knowledge and practice of cross-contamination prevention, proper food preparation and storage
Demonstrates excellent communication skills in order to ensure excellent customer service
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day
The ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs
Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible hours
Education and Work Experience
5+ years meat cutting experience

Full-Time or Part-Time available
Daily Schedule
Flexible, must have availability at least one weekend day
Salary
$$18.00 to $22.00 / hour based on experience
