About the Role – Casual Chef We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to support our kitchen in delivering high-quality pub classics and contemporary dishes. You’ll work alongside our Head Chef and broader kitchen team to consistently deliver exceptional dining experiences to locals and visitors in the Clare Valley.
The role requires:
Flexibility to work across a 7‑day rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
A passion for producing high-quality, consistent meals
Strong understanding of food safety, allergy management, and WHS standards
Hands‑on experience with stock control, portion control, and waste minimisation
Commitment to maintaining a high standard of food presentation and service
About You You're a positive and reliable team player who thrives in a busy, high‑performing kitchen.
We’re looking for:
Experience as a Commis Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar kitchen role (minimum 3 years preferred)
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential)
Strong culinary skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet service deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
A genuine passion for quality food and customer experience
