E.O.’s Athletic Club is seeking a
Chef
to lead all food operations at our elevated sports bar concept in downtown Durham. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a chef who values consistency, systems, and culture as much as great food.
This position offers room to grow within
UV Hospitality Group
, a locally owned restaurant group with multiple concepts and a strong commitment to people, quality, and community.
Preferred experience with pizza dough production but not required.
What You’ll Do Kitchen Leadership & Operations Oversee all food operations at E.O.’s Athletic Club Lead, train, schedule, and develop the kitchen team Ensure consistent execution and quality across all menu items Maintain strong systems for cleanliness, organization, and health department compliance Manage inventory, ordering, food cost, waste, and labor Conduct monthly inventories and quarterly performance reviews Work the line and expedite as needed Interview, hire, coach, and mentor BOH staff Maintain a current ServSafe Manager certification
Menu & Creative Development Develop and refine dishes within the E.O.’s Athletic Club brand and mission Assist with menu updates and seasonal changes Collaborate on special events, pop-ups, and fundraisers when appropriate Support planning and execution of buyouts and special events
Front-of-House Collaboration Support FOH systems related to organization, cleanliness, and sidework Assist with ordering FOH products and ABC pickups Ensure compliance with all applicable ABC and health regulations Foster a positive, team-oriented culture between BOH and FOH
Guest Engagement Engage with guests regularly and monitor guest experience Review online feedback and work with the team to address opportunities Educate staff and guests on menu items and updates as needed
