This role assists with classroom activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth while ensuring constant supervision and safety. Under the direction of the teacher, the Teacher Assistant helps prepare materials, maintains a clean and organized classroom, and supports routines such as meals, diapering, hygiene, rest, and play. The position also involves maintaining positive communication with children and families and participating in required training and staff development. Through collaboration and care, the Teacher Assistant contributes to a high-quality early learning experience for all children. Support campus staff and assist in assigned classrooms as needed. Guide children in activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development under teacher supervision. Respond to individual developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Actively supervise children indoors and on the playground. Help prepare materials and adapt the physical environment as needed. Monitor children to ensure safety at all times. Maintain positive communication with children and families. Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, hygiene, rest, and play routines. Keep classroom areas clean, organized, and sanitary, including light cleaning tasks. Complete 20 hours of annual training and attend required staff development. Perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must obtain an age-appropriate CDA within one year (related degrees may substitute). Minimum six months of childcare experience. Strong understanding of human behavior and effective communication skills. Able to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Warm, calm, and patient approach with infants. Reliable, insured vehicle for transportation. Must pass pre-employment physical, annual TB test, and biennial background check. Physical Requirements

Must be able to frequently walk and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to twist, turn, kneel, bend, and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to monitor children’s safety in activities when needed.
