Classification Pay Scale In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale

Minimum: $75,000.00 Annually

Maximum: $80,000.00 Annually

Job Summary Under the general direction of the Associate Dean of Clinical Education, COMP‑Northwest and Site Dean of COMP‑Northwest, the Assistant Director of Clinical Education is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for clinical education programming for the COMP‑Northwest campus. The role includes oversight of student clinical placement, departmental budget, strategic initiatives, preceptor relationship development and maintenance, site management in accordance with accreditation standards, data review and analysis and coordination of events. The Assistant Director works closely with academic leadership to ensure compliance, continuous quality improvement, and positive student and preceptor experiences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge:

Knowledge of accreditation standards and the accreditation process or related experience with accreditation and accrediting bodies.

Skills:

Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or academic setting, with a focus on program development and administration.

Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders including faculty, staff, students, preceptors, and healthcare partners.

Budget planning and fiscal management skills, including tracking expenditures and aligning with departmental financial strategy.

Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive student and staff related situations.

Proficiency with software systems relevant to clinical education and data tracking.

Abilities:

Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and operational improvements across department and campuses.

Proven ability to plan and execute high‑impact events and manage logistics in fast‑paced environments.

Ability to prioritize competing demands and complete action items efficiently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in business, healthcare, or data analytics.

Experience:

Five to seven years of management experience in higher education and/or clinical administration. Management experience of GME program(s) also acceptable. Experience in development and utilization of data analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in clinical site development and management.

Experience with program assessment, curriculum design, student evaluation.

Experience with project management.
