Job Description
The Driver Helper rides with and assists drivers in the tractor‑trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and unloading various products in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The role involves communicating and interacting with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly. The Driver Helper functions as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Purpose The Driver Helper assists in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers, helping with loading and unloading, placing products in designated areas, completing required documentation promptly, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Compensation
Pay: $16 per hour
Shift: Monday – Friday
Dispatch between 5:00 am – 7:00 am, working 10–12 hours per shift

Responsibilities
Assist the driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Load and unload truck and/or company vehicles.
Place products in areas identified by customers.
Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or 1–3 years of related experience.
Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position up to 30 lbs; up to 65 lbs occasionally.
Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
Ability to work in an environment exposed to a variety of noise and temperature extremes.
