Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Pay:
$17–$19 per hour
About The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience – Manassas City is seeking a reliable and energetic
Assistant Teacher / Center Support
professional to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with all age groups and thrives in a dynamic, supportive childcare environment. As part of our center support team, you will assist classrooms, step in as a floater teacher when needed, and help maintain a smooth daily flow throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities
Support multiple classrooms (Infants–Preschool) by assisting teachers and engaging with children.
Maintain a
safe, positive, and nurturing
environment at all times.
Assist with classroom routines such as activities, meals, diapering/toileting, and transitions.
Provide coverage for staff breaks and planning periods as needed.
Build warm, professional relationships with children, families, and staff.
Help ensure the center remains clean, organized, and compliant with state licensing standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is required.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in multiple classrooms.
Must meet all Virginia state childcare licensing requirements.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
