have an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Chef de Partie

to join our passionate team at the iconic Restaurant Amara . As a member of our Kitchen team, you will be responsible for bringing our core values of Caring, Elevated, Progressive and Curious to life for both our team and our guests.

About Restaurant Amara Fresh, organic and seasonal produce sourced from the historic Hawkesbury region, RestaurantAmara provides a unique, rewarding experience that reconnects guests with the very best of the land, and surprises with its sheer originality. The intimate 26 seat restaurant is about personalised experience for our guests staying at the retreat and guests joining for lunch and dinner from the local region.

Spicers Sangoma Retreat is cocooned by the natural serenity of the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. Just over an hour from Sydney, and aptly named after the Zulu word for healer, Sangoma is a place where guests discover complete rejuvenation.

The role and key duties

Curating an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish;

Deliver our in-house dining menu inspired by local ingredients, prepared utilising creative preparation techniques;

Successfully run your own section of the Kitchen during service as directed by the Head Chef;

Lead by example to ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations;

Deliver all food experiences for the property including: restaurant dining; functions, weddings, events and experiential dining opportunities;

Work closely with other Chefs to ensure the overall success of your team and the retreat.

Essential criteria required to be considered

Previous experience as a Chef De Partie in a high end, fine dining or hatted environment (essential);

Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards;

Ability to work across all sections of the kitchen and run your own section;

Contribute to a positive and motivated kitchen atmosphere, and have a genuine passion for people, food and wine;

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards;

Ability and willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;

Reliable vehicle to get to and from the retreat;

Be located close to our retreat or be willing to relocate.
