An individual could be successful if they possess the following.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**The Usher/Usherette assists guests by directing them to the appropriate seating areas and other venue amenities, answers questions about the race track, and helps to solve guest issues as they arise.
They also ensure that each guest attending any event held at Oaklawn is welcomed with the highest level of customer service. Always presents a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:* Initiates and practices the highest level of guest service by ensuring that new and returning guests are provided with an exceptional experience.* Engage in meaningful and personalized conversation while assisting customers in making informed choices regarding their Oaklawn experience.* Ensure that guests are welcomed into a clean, safe and professional environment by taking ownership and having pride of the overall cleanliness of your work area.* Review and retain information from Oaklawn in order to support and promote all business units by communicating details of marketing promotions and upcoming events.* Usher guests to the appropriate reserved seating areas.* Monitor the reserved seating section and maintain visibility with guests in order to identify seating concerns and address and resolve issues when needed.* Assist in keeping customer seating areas clean throughout shift by assisting Food and Beverage with bussing duties.* Enhance the customer experience by building and maintaining positive relationships with season seat holders and other regular guests.* Ability to work required overtime.* Regular punctual attendance required.* Other duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
