LA Health and Rehab Center is looking for an experienced Cook to join our team!
We are searching for highly motivated individual who is dependable and passionate about cooking to join our Women's Residential Facility in Baton Rouge, LA.
Essential Job Duties:
Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet residential food service needs Prepare meals by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food handling procedures. Ensure refrigerators and storerooms are clean and organized. Maintain kitchen equipment as instructed. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required. Assist with the purchasing of food and supply items. Attend in-service and safety meetings Maintain a clean workplace by washing dishes, cleaning up the kitchen at the end of the shift, and assisting with cleaning the dining area. Ensure that food and snacks are provided to residents according to facility polices and procedures. Discard or store leftovers appropriately. Responsible for organizing pantries. Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, and staff. Perform all other job duties as assigned. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of experience in meal preparation in a facility-based setting Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Must be able to pass a background check and Drug screening. #J-18808-Ljbffr
