REPORTS TO Designated Supervisor and General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment in support of the housekeeping department at an OAK property. Responsibilities include cleaning all private offices and public common areas, maintaining departmental standards, and delivering professional, friendly customer service. Proper maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment is essential.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Clean and style accommodation rooms and public areas efficiently, meeting brand expectations and time standards.

Refresh and replenish guest rooms with amenities, supplies, and applicable collateral.

Inspect work to prevent guest challenges, communicate maintenance concerns, and replace items as needed.

Complete maintenance requests promptly and prioritize them appropriately.

Collaborate with the guest services team and property leadership to resolve guest challenges.

Fill out required forms and report any items left by guests to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Adhere to all quality, health, and safety standards.

Remove bedding, count linens, and make beds with fresh sheets and pillowcases.

Wash, dry, and fold laundry as required.

Pick up debris and empty trash in wastebaskets.

Clean mirrors, shelves, dishes, door frames, and furniture; dust all surfaces; vacuum and sweep floors.

Sanitize kitchen and bathroom areas, scrubbing basins, tubs, toilets, and floors with appropriate chemical solutions while using protective equipment.

Sign in and out master room keys daily; do not loan keys to others.

Conserve energy by closing shades or blinds and turning up air conditioning in unoccupied rooms.

Report room condition and status to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Guest Services.

Retrieve, stock, restock, and store the housekeeping cart according to safety and security procedures.

Maintain cleanliness throughout the campground.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Clean, tidy, and well‑maintained private and common areas, restrooms, and accommodations.

Meet the property’s OSHA and safety requirements.

Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

Timely reporting of guest concerns and maintenance issues, with follow‑up and corrective action in the team’s areas of responsibility.

Precise control and adherence to KOA policies across all housekeeping, cleaning, and safety programs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Desire to work in housekeeping or a related field.

Basic understanding of English and willingness to learn through hands‑on experience.

Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Motivated, goal‑oriented, and results‑driven.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for long periods.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and move safely over uneven terrain.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various climates.

Ability to travel by automobile.
