Location: Unity Hospital (and driving to other locations in Rochester)
Hours Per Week: 37.5 Hours per Week
Schedule: 8 Hour Shifts; 7:15a - 3:15p with Weekend Rotation
Sign-On Bonus: N/A
Position Summary The Courier is responsible for delivering and picking up food for off-site locations, ensuring timely and accurate service. This role also supports kitchen operations by putting away stock and assisting with cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and pick up food for off-site locations (no medical supplies).
Safely transport items following all food safety and handling guidelines.
Put away stock in designated areas.
Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas.
Communicate effectively with team members and off-site contacts.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to lift and move stock as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible.
Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Customer service and teamwork skills.
Ability to read and comprehend maps: Use MapQuest or Google Maps, and/or directions.
Knowledge of all Monroe County roads.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Food and Nutrition Only: Previous food service experience preferred.
Should have a basic knowledge of major roads and landmarks in the Greater Rochester area.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.
Required Licensure / Certification Skills Valid New York State Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
Pay Range $17.25 - $19.88
