As a Field Service Technician at MSI Viking, you will be responsible for servicing a variety of machines including but not limited to optical comparators, vision systems, hardness testers, surface plates, and CMMs at customer sites. You will perform installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure they operate accurately and reliably. This includes mechanical, electrical, and software components. Minimum two years related experience
Update gage tracking software
Calculate statistical information regarding uncertainties in calibration using established process
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Generate certifications with gage calibration results
Interact with internal and external customers to answer questions and calibration related information
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-starter, proactive, productive, punctual
General familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO/IEC17025 Quality Systems
Good written and oral communication skills as well as computer skills
Willing to travel to local and regional on-site locations daily (overnight as needed)
Overnight stays will be 1 to 3 nights of the week
Company vehicle will be provided
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) training
CMM calibration and/or repair experience is a plus
Optical comparator operation and/or calibration experience
Vision machine operation and/or calibration experience
Experience with various metrology brands and software, such as Starrett, Micro-Vu, or Mitutoyo
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical diagrams
