Company Overview Field Calibrations, Inc. is a growing, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in high-quality electronic test and measurement instrument calibration and repair services.

Position Summary Join our dynamic team as a Metrology Calibration Technician, where you will focus primarily on performing on-site calibrations across the Phoenix Metropolitan area with our mobile calibration team. This multifunctional role also includes in-lab calibration duties, offering a diverse and engaging work environment. The role is ideal for those who enjoy working directly on equipment in various locations, ensuring precision and compliance in real-world settings.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary backup to the Calibration Lab Manager, overseeing lab operations, workflow, and technical staff in their absence.

Perform and supervise calibrations on a wide variety of electronic test and measurement equipment.

Develop, validate, and implement calibration procedures; verify results and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Train, mentor, and supervise calibration technicians.

Maintain measurement uncertainties, environmental conditions, equipment standards, and proper documentation.

Interface with customers, vendors, quality personnel, and management to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Act as the senior technical authority when needed and support continuous improvement of lab processes.

Qualifications

Must HAVE at least 2 years of experience in metrology laboratory settings and/or field calibration services roles.

Very strong preference for PMEL, TMDE, CCT qualified/CERTIFIED individuals. Provide a copy of your Certificate of Graduation.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree in electronics/electrical theory strongly preferred (e.g., PMEL, TMDE, military training, or apprenticeship).

Minimum 5-7 years of hands‑on electronic calibration and repair experience.

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.

Strong understanding of measurement uncertainties and calibration standards compliance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear procedures and reports.

Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 or similar quality systems is a plus.
