Position Summary
Create, modify, and repair trollies, work station tables, hand rails, platforms, computer stands, material supply racks, safety guards, etc. 5S cables and wires throughout the plant.
Role and Responsibilities LEVEL 1
Temporarily fill in for critical positions across the production floor
Assist production in daily tasks
Knowledge of tools, systems, and machine sequences for complete cycle
Cross‑train, and assist other teammates
Modify the work stations
Explain process and correct work methods to associates
Uses cutting saws
Volunteer to work on weekend (if needed)
All other duties as assigned
LEVEL 2
All level 1 job duties
The ability to make timely decisions and provide feedback to others
Creative thinking to develop ideas to improve efficiency
Detect and define the equipment issues clearly
Ability to design and build needed materials
Troubleshoot, reboot, and recovery
Document work, repair and communicate to management
Create and participate in improvement ideas
All other duties as assigned
LEVEL 3
All level 1 and 2 job duties
On the job welding training
Basic knowledge and understanding of welding
Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques
Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
Report all findings to management and team members
All other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Education and experience:
HSD/GED – 0 years experience required
HSD/GED – 1 year repairing and assembling required
OJT for Welding, HSD/GED: 2 years repairing and assembling, and 1 year OJT welding required
Welding Certificate, HSD/GED: 3‑4 years repairing, assembling, and current external welding certification required
Welding Certificate, HSD/GED: 5‑6 years repairing, assembling, and current external welding certification required
Welding Certificate, HSD/GED: 7+ years repairing, assembling, and current external welding certification required
Knowledge:
Understand the assembly process
Know how to use mechanical/electrical tools
Must be able to speak, read, and write English
Basic aptitude and knowledge about assembly, repairs, welding, and safety
Skills:
Good organizational skills, team play and work efficiently are required
Trouble shooting, multi‑tasking, screwing, cutting, assembling
Welding
Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
The ability to make timely decisions and provide feedback to others
Have a strong desire for personal and professional development
Creative thinking to develop ideas to improve efficiency
All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.
Physical requirement:
The ability to stand up for 8 - 10 hours a day required
The ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 35 lbs. on a repetitive basis
Must be able to climb, twist, and reach
Must be able to work on equipment in awkward positions
The ability to work with components that are in constant motion along an assembly line without adverse effects
Need to be able to work in a fast paced, high‑speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
