Position Overview and Responsibilities St. John’s seeks a long-term, high school Substitute Mathematics Teacher to cover a family leave from February 27, 2026 to June 5, 2026. The teacher will support students in Calculus and Algebra 2/Trigonometry, promote curiosity and inquiry, engage all learners, incorporate technology to support learning gains, and connect content to real‑world contexts.

Education and Experience

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.

Previous teaching experience in high school or middle school is desirable.

Physical Requirements

Standing/sitting for long periods of time.

Must be capable of adapting to frequent changes in position throughout the workday.

Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone.

Use of hands and fingers for manipulation, and using computer keyboard, educational tools, and performing first aid and CPR.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
