This position is full‑time, entry‑level, and involves under direct supervision performing various functions on the chair line, including assembly, grinding, sanding, and simple upholstery, with the goal of manufacturing quality parts according to Work Order specifications while meeting quality and production standards.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay $19/hour with increase after 90 days. Paid weekly.
Hours vary each week but typically Monday-Friday from 5 AM—3:30 PM (five 10‑hour days).
Must be able to work additional mandatory overtime on Saturdays (8 hours occasionally).
Must be able to work varying hours of 40–58 hours per week; schedule determined Thursday each week.
2 weeks paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, and 1 week paid sick leave after 90 days.
Employee may listen to personal music while at work.
Job Responsibilities
Unracks the chair line and inspects chairs for flaws.
Assembles chair parts according to work orders (attach wood or upholstered seats and backs, add feet).
Packs each order accurately and on time according to specifications.
Using hand and/or power tools, grinds, sands, cleans, and/or polishes chair frames to correct defects or prepare surfaces for finishing.
Using chisels, scrapers, and/or hand‑held grinders, trims, scrapes, or deburrs parts.
Sands all parts and wooden chairs for daily work orders.
Cuts wood parts to pattern as specified in work orders.
Attaches upholstery to chair seats or backs using staples.
Glues foam to wooden seats.
Cuts vinyl to specification on work order.
Assists with material handling of assemblies and finished goods.
Performs quality checks according to quality standards.
