EO/Driver I – Thompson Industrial Services, LLC
Join our safety‑conscious team as an Equipment Operator (EO/Driver I). We are seeking a responsible individual to operate equipment such as roll‑off trailers, dry vans, vacuum trucks, and hydroblasting systems. The role involves picking up waste at customer sites, transporting it to designated locations, and serving as a primary customer contact for environmental/hazardous waste.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Rotating shifts (days, nights). Overtime as needed.
EXPERIENCE WITH:
Hydroblasting, vacuum trucks, warehouse/manufacturing, general labor, production, and industrial field experience is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer.
Operate vacuum equipment, hydroblasting equipment, and other specialized equipment (e.g., ultra‑high‑pressure pumps).
Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
Carry out pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, maintain driver logs, and comply with vehicle policy and DOT requirements.
Load and unload hoses, assist in unloading vacuum trucks at dump sites, and provide general maintenance in the field.
May direct a crew of vacuum technicians and transport equipment and personnel to/from customer locations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on‑the‑job experience.
Proficient in English to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergencies.
Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B optional. Other company driving policy requirements apply.
Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device; TWIC may be required.
Knowledgeable in operation of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
Prior experience operating a vacuum truck is a plus.
Working knowledge of wet and dry vacuum equipment.
What it takes to work for Thompson Industrial
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Class A or B CDL license not required.
HAZMAT and tanker endorsements preferred.
