Truck Driver CDL B Home Daily
– Ryder Supply Chain Solutions (Fort Pierce, FL)
Position Description Immediate opening for a solo Class B CDL truck driver. Join the Ryder team as a driver covering a home daily route in the Fort Pierce, FL area.
Compensation & Benefits Weekly rate: $1,020 or more. Seasonal position through end of March.
Hourly pay: $25.50
Hours per week: 40 with overtime available
Paid training
Schedule varies; start time 5:00 PM
Uniforms and boot allowance, PTO starts Day 1 (80 hrs accrued in 1st year), medical/dental/vision start at 30 days, immediate 401k with company match after one year
Unlimited bonuses for hired drivers; company will buy your truck if you’re switching from owner‑operator to a company employee driver
Route & Equipment
Run in: FL
Route: Home daily
Tractor type: Straight truck with lift gate, roll‑bins
Freight: touch‑home goods, clothes
Trucks: 36 months or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance, fuel at 800+ facilities nationwide
Requirements
Minimum age 21
Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor‑tank or comparable vehicle:
9 months experience within the past 3 years
or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years
or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable federal or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, or guidelines
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customer
Perform other duties as assigned
