Guest Room Attendant Housekeeping

Pay Rate:

$16.92 per hour.

As a member of our Housekeeping team, this position will supervise employees working within the Housekeeping operation and will conduct daily room inspections while ensuring that Departmental and Hotel policies and procedures are followed, and that cleanliness and service standards are maintained.

What you will be doing

Interacts with guests by meeting the 16 Service Standards set by the hotel.

Removes bedspreads, fold and place on closet shelf/luggage rack/bench.

Removes all trash.

Dusts all surfaces.

Vacuum all carpeted areas.

Sweeps and washes all hard floor surfaces.

“Pulls” furniture in guestroom as directed.

Scrubs all bathroom fixtures and floor with appropriate solution.

Closes windows, drapes, blinds and shades.

Empties trashcans, clean ashtrays, remove empty bottles and dirty dishes.

Picks up and organizes guest shoes, clothes, newspapers, etc.

Strips/Makes and Turndowns beds on a daily basis.

Removes soiled bathroom linen and replace with clean.

Replenishes guest’s supplies as necessary.

Reports maintenance problems to housekeeping office.

Stocks work cart at end of shift and cleans and organizes linen closet.

Uses telephone to identify completion of service.

Cleans patios and patio furniture.

Orders supplies for area of responsibility.

Perform major housecleaning annually.

General cleaning of public areas as needed.

Deliveries of guest request items.

Performs lobby attendant duties as needed.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

What we are looking for

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; prior Housekeeping supervisory and hospitality experience desired.

Ability to directly and indirectly supervises up to 30 employees within scope of responsibility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude to effectively utilize specified devices and related technology for operational excellence.

Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
