Valley Pines Senior Living Housekeeper Position

Purpose Responsible for housekeeping of assigned rooms, common areas, and assisting with the needs of the residents.
Essential Functions – Job Duties
Acts in an ethical, respectful, responsive, reliable, authentic, innovative, and empathetic manner.
Follow cleaning schedule established by the Housekeeping/Maintenance Director.
Clean assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, movable and stationary furniture.
Empty trash bins and clean bathroom showers, sinks, toilets.
Vacuum carpets in rooms, common areas, and hallways.
Disinfect floors, walls, bathrooms, wash windows and furniture.
Replenish bathroom supplies and paper supplies for residents and public bathrooms.
Dusting and sanitizing surfaces such as baseboards, stairways, elevators, entrances and exits.
Reporting supply and equipment needs to the Housekeeping Director.
Strip beds and reapply resident’s sheets to bed.
Laundry for the bed sheets and resident's clothes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Secondary Functions – Job Duties
Attend and participate in staff meetings, projects, special events, committees, and mandatory training as appropriate.
Complete competency evaluations for training as required by the state or as assigned by their immediate supervisor, HR Director, or Executive Director.
Observe residents and report changes in level of care or behavior to nursing leadership on that floor.
Maintain safety and health rules by participating in training and implementing and following protocols related to OSHA & CDC regulations and Cardinal Senior Management Standards as required.
Promote and encourage individualized resident independence while maintaining resident dignity, individuality, confidentiality and following infection control policies.
Follow all applicable state regulations.
Education & Knowledge Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (highly preferred).
Must be age 18 or older prior to the first day of employment.
