Adjunct Faculty, Dental Hygiene (Future Opportunities) CCRI’s Department of Dental Health invites applicants for future adjunct positions.

The Dental Health Programs prepare students as dental professionals who have the skills required to be competent members of the dental care team, deliver quality dental health care to the public, have the knowledge to pass national licensure and certification examinations, and are committed to professional development through lifelong learning.

The Dental Health Department is looking for dynamic, skilled, and motivated individuals to join our team. Dental Health adjunct faculty demonstrate competence in clinical skills, lecture and lab instruction, and responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Dental Health Programs and the College.

Pay Range This range is provided by Community College of Rhode Island. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $97.10/hr - $97.10/hr

Instructional Skills

Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities

Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes

Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers

Dental Hygiene preclinical, clinical, laboratory and didactic teaching

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues

Demonstrate commitment to providing academic support to students and provide remediation as needed

Participate in accreditation activities

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field

Minimum of 4 years of clinical dental hygiene experience

Current Rhode Island dental/dental hygiene license and permit to administer local anesthesia are required. Candidates who are eligible for licensure will be considered

Current certification in CPR at the Healthcare Provider level

Competencies

Master’s degree in a related field

Previous teaching experience at a CODA‑accredited institution

ADHA membership
