Job Description
The Fresh Pasta Prep Cook has expertise on products and processes at a minimum of two retail stations at an Eataly. An fresh pasta prep cook shares knowledge about products and ingredients with guests and recommends products and portion sizes. Reports to Central Kitchen Chef De Cuisine and Sous Chef Manager.
Assists the retail counters with daily operations as needed to ensure counters are running smoothly
Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations
Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
Slices, weighs, labels, displays, sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications
Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Provides a steady presence on the floor, constantly interacting with guests, employees, vendors and visitors
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in food service production
Strong knowledge of steps of service
Great communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Italian products
Job Requirements
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $17 - $19 per hour.
