Responsibilities

Complete disassembly of vehicles to assist collision estimators in damage assessment and 100% repair planning.

Identify all needed repairs to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.

Plan work procedures following work orders for all operations.

Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to gain access to damaged areas, storing parts on carts or cover to prevent damage.

Mend damaged body by hammering or filling dents and welding broken parts; ensure gaps and fits meet industry standards; remove damaged panels and bolts or weld replacements in position, then reassemble after painting.

Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).

File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing vehicle to the paint department.

Repair or replace defective parts.

Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to verify safety and quality standards.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Comply with all Classic Collision SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.

2–3 years of collision repair experience preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Customer‑focused attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.

Successful completion of background check required.

Physical & Environmental Requirements Employee regularly uses hands and must talk and hear. Frequently required to stand, sit, and walk for long periods. May occasionally need to reach with hands, arms, and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities: close, peripheral, and adjust focus.
