Responsibilities
Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
Plan work procedures by following work order for all operations listed.
Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to gain access to damaged areas when needed. Store parts to avoid damage.
Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits meet industry standards; remove damaged panels and bolts or weld replacements; reassemble after parts are painted.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before passing vehicle to Paint Dept.
Repair or replace defective parts.
Inspect and test‑drive repaired vehicles for compliance with safety and quality standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety rules, and guidelines.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
I‑CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
2–3 years of collision repair experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Customer‑focused attitude with ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
Successful completion of background check required.

Physical & Environmental While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, talk and hear. The employee frequently needs to stand, sit, walk occasionally for long periods. They may occasionally have to reach with hands, arms and move objects up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.
