The base salary for this position is $27.26 hourly. Assisting guests in beverage and drink preparation, servicing of the bar area and the restaurant in an efficient and timely manner. Relating with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high‑quality service. Being knowledgeable about the drink offerings mentioned in the menu as well as all standard drinks to assist guests in choosing their beverage based on likes/dislikes. Complying with Mauna Lani / Forbes standards in use within the Bar and Restaurant outlets. Contributing to improving the F&B sales revenues by being knowledgeable about drinks, cocktails, spirits and other menu items, specials and prices. Accurately and quickly taking and placing orders and inputting them into the Micros system ensuring correct timing and billing. Preparing the guest check accurately and collecting payment or signature, as required. Operating, maintaining and properly cleaning all bar equipment and fittings. Ensuring that the bar is well‑stocked at all times. Using safe food handling procedures and maintaining a safe working environment by using proper food‑handling skills and food safety guidelines. Qualifications
One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a bartender preferred. Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred. Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol. Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast‑paced team. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs. Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
