Electrical Helper II – Phoenix Industrial, Inc.
MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) provides construction services for industrial, solar, wind, and thermal power plants. The Electrical Helper II supports electrical systems installation for projects at Phoenix Industrial.
Position Summary Under direction of Electrical Journeyman and Foreman, install and support electrical systems to project specifications.
Responsibilities
Install raceway systems and electrical conduit, weld supports, and install cable and duct banks.
Pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Install small electrical equipment and supports.
Attend safety meetings and complete safety paperwork daily.
Demonstrate safety priority and adherence to National Electrical Code.
Learn project specifications and install electrical systems to standards.
Identify and implement improvements to safety, quality, and productivity.
Keep work area neat and organized.
Qualifications
1-2 years related experience or equivalent education and experience.
NCCER certification or license preferred.
Minimum one year electrical helper II experience.
Basic knowledge of National Electrical Code and low/high voltage systems.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic math skills and ability to follow detailed procedures.
Physical Demands
Maintain physical strength and stamina; use arms, hands, and legs to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive tasks for several hours.
Work in variable weather and site conditions.
Wear personal protective equipment required for all tasks.
Work at heights and use fall protection equipment.
Navigating confined and uneven areas.
Travel Up to 90% travel required to project sites.
