Whiz Kids Child Development Center is a center‑based facility that is family‑oriented. We are looking for a School Age Lead Teacher to join our team of caring and creative caregivers. Qualified candidates will possess a passion and joy for early childhood education. A successful preschool teacher will be energetic and enthusiastic. They won't be afraid to get wild and crazy with their kids.
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday: Split shift: 6:30‑9:00 A.M. and 2:00‑5:00 P.M.
Duties
Design lesson plans that facilitate the children's social‑emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Implement age‑appropriate activities and work as a team player with peers and associates
Tend to children's basic needs
Mediate conflict between children
Model appropriate behaviors
Encourage staff/parent communication
Ensure the center's philosophies and policies are implemented
Attend all staff meetings, continuing education, and center events
Maintain state‑mandated staff/student ratio at all times
Requirements
Clear criminal record
Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting
Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 pounds
Warm, approachable disposition
Excellent problem‑solving skills
Passion for early childhood development
Nice to Haves
An associate’s degree in ECE or a related field
First aid certified per CT requirements
CPR certified per CT requirements
Medication certified per CT requirements
