Description of Work O’Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is currently accepting applications for one Housekeeper position. This position will perform a variety of duties in the cleaning and sanitizing of assigned buildings that are located at O'Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center using the appropriate disinfectants and cleaners to enhance the overall appearance and sanitation of the facility. This position must clean assigned areas according to established rules and regulations ensuring that safety and sanitation regulations are met. The position is required to follow a checklist and meet standards of sanitation as set by Management, ICF/IID and/or NF regulations and other regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing hard surfaces, cleaning walls, woodwork, windows, and light fixtures.

Cleaning all common areas, bathrooms, hallways, day rooms, break rooms, offices, work areas.

Cleaning residential areas such as individual bedrooms, bathrooms, and equipment.

Transferring linen to and from assigned areas and linen rooms.

Emptying trash receptacles and other related duties as requested by their supervisor or management.

Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Documented experience with cleaning procedures in an industrial, commercial, or health care facility.

Proficient in the operation of various cleaning equipment.

Knowledge of purpose and application of products and equipment used in a cleaning operation.

Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions.

Must maintain a current driver’s license.

Management Preferences Housekeeping experience in a health care facility.

Physical Requirements Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work, standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting and pushing. Must be able to safely climb and work from a step ladder.

Additional Position Information This Position is Designated Mandatory and Must Report Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Minimum Education and Experience Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job.
