Base Pay Range $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Location
Los Angeles County Library – Rosemead, CA 91770
Schedule
"High Dosage Tutor": Tues‑Wed 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Thurs 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. ELA/Math, grades 1‑6. Appointment based 1‑v‑1, 3‑v‑1.
"Homework Helper": Tues‑Wed 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Thurs 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM & Fri 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. All subjects, grades 1‑12. Walk‑ins.
Pay
$22 per hour standard
$23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
$24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor.
Responsibilities
Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Provide homework help to students in grades 1‑12.
Qualifications
Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer.
Must meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position.
Can provide 3 professional references.
Have a minimum of 60 units of college credits.
Have at least one year of student‑related experience.
Detail‑oriented and highly dependable.
Effective communicator.
Reliable transportation.
Can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired.
Love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar.
