Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Summer Horse Camp Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role in Littleton, CO involves being responsible for leading and supervising camp activities, ensuring the safety and engagement of participating children, and caring for horses. The counselor will assist with riding instruction, horse care demonstrations, and creating a supportive learning environment. Additional tasks may include coordinating camp schedules, organizing activities, and fostering a spirit of teamwork among campers and staff members.
Qualifications
Experience in horseback riding and knowledge of English disciplines such as Dressage, Hunters or Jumping
Ability to supervise and engage children in a camp setting, ensuring safety and providing guidance
Skills in horse care, grooming, tack management, and general equestrian safety
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
Prior experience in a teaching, camp counseling, or equestrian environment is preferred
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Passion for working with children and horses in an educational and welcoming setting
