EL Teacher (English Learner) – High School. The district is the largest in Central Minnesota and is seeking qualified teachers for its English Learner (EL) Program at the high school level (Grades 9‑12). Qualified applicants will help create a safe and caring climate that prepares, engages, educates, empowers, and inspires all learners in partnership with their surrounding community to be successful in today’s and tomorrow’s society.
Salary:
$49,141 – $90,362 per year
(dependent on education and experience).
Essential Duties
Instructional Planning and Preparation – Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy, such as knowledge of students, select instructional goals, use resources, design coherent instruction, and assess student learning.
Classroom Environment – Create an environment of respect and rapport, establish a culture for learning, manage classroom procedures, manage student behavior, and organize physical space.
Instructional Interaction – Communicate clearly and accurately, use questioning and discussion techniques, engage students in learning, provide feedback, and demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness.
Professional Responsibilities – Reflect on teaching, maintain accurate records, communicate with families, contribute to the school and district, grow and develop professionally, and show professionalism.
Qualifications
Minnesota teaching license for English as a Second Language (K‑12 / 5‑12).
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
