Wellness Associate (Caregiver)

We are looking for dedicated PART‑TIME and FULL‑TIME caregivers to deliver excellent customer service in a team environment. The Wellness Associate reports to the Wellness Director and the Wellness Manager and provides services and care to each resident based on the individual Resident Service Plan.

Essential Functions
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
Maintain awareness of each resident’s physical and mental health; report changes to the Wellness Director promptly.
Keep an inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
Assist with finding shift coverage when unexpected call outs occur.
Help develop and maintain assignments for the Wellness Director.
Assist in orienting and onboarding new Wellness Associates.
Respond to resident emergencies, provide first‑aid and arrange for appropriate medical follow‑up.
Assist residents in keeping their units clean, neat, and orderly.
Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
Assist with clothing and laundry needs if instructed.
Assist with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
Assist with activity program as assigned.
Maintain records according to policy and keep files as needed.
Participate in a minimum of 6 hours of in‑service education per year.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Compliance and Safety
Follow all emergency procedures.
Understand all safety policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with the Wellness Director and other staff.
Immediately advise the Wellness Director and/or Wellness Manager of any changes in the resident’s physical and mental health.
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification
Current State Nurse’s Aide registration preferred but not required.
Experience and passion in working with seniors.
Ability to perform tasks that may be physically demanding, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements
Bend and reach.
Push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds at times.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Could be required to use a Hoyer Lift.
Miscellaneous
May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
May be required to work shifts other than the one for which hired.
May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses.
Could be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental status.
Background, criminal, and drug tests may be required.
May be asked to submit to random drug testing during employment.
May have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising.
May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents’ apartments.
Schedule
All shifts available; must be able to work weekends. Rotating weekends are a must.
