Base Pay Range $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Role Overview The
Spindles Technician
will assemble, disassemble, repair, refurbish and inspect spindles. The role also includes performing test runs, balancing and/or runoff of spindles upon completion of assembly. Candidates with a Machine Builder or Automotive Mechanic background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Disassemble damaged or worn spindles that are to be repaired while reading blueprints and work instructions
Inspect worn or damaged spindle components to determine problem areas
Check dimensions of the spindle and its components using basic measuring equipment
Provide detailed documentation of observations – missing, broken, or dirty components
Determine repair costs and help quote an approximate repair cost
Assemble newly manufactured spindles according to work instructions and blueprints
Paint spindles according to work instructions if necessary
Use manual machinery such as lathes, mills, or surface grinders to manufacture or finish component parts for spindles
Qualifications
Knowledge of spindle machines and tools as well as their applications
Proficiency in algebra, geometry and trigonometry and its application as it relates to manufacturing
Knowledge of machine building principles
Ability to use measuring devices and inspection tools such as calipers or micrometers and different types of electrical meters
